Passage 4

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Prema alone has no birth and no death. God dwells in you yourselves as the very form of Prema. Your breath itself is your God. How does it come? It comes with the message ‘So'ham’, ‘So'ham’ (I am God, I am God). ‘So’ means ‘That’ (God); ‘ham’ means I. So ‘So'ham’ means ‘That am I’. That itself is Prema. So we must keep that very Prema as the chief thing. Other thoughts keep coming and going. But Prema alone stays steady always! So whatever work you do, do it with Prema. Even if your enemy comes, say ‘Hello, hello’ with Prema. He too says ‘Hello’. This itself is resound, reflection, reaction. Whatever we do, good or bad, comes back to us ourselves. So we must stay immersed in Prema at all times. With Prema alone, we can achieve anything. Prema itself accomplishes any number of great deeds. Prema alone created this whole world; Prema alone runs it. So there is no God higher than Prema. However much sādhana you do without Prema, it is futile. So keep Prema in the heart. That Prema itself draws everyone. Prema itself provides everything. Prema itself creates; Prema itself burns to ashes; Prema itself protects; Prema itself punishes. Because you look with a physical eye, you think, ‘This is creation.’ But there is only one; that is Prema. It does not change in the least. If you follow that path of Prema, you receive the fruit of having done all sādhanas.

God's original name: ‘Prema’

People give God many names. But whatever name you call by, only One answers! Call ‘Allah’, and He says ‘Yes’; call ‘Jesus’, and He says ‘Yes’; call ‘Rāma’, and He says ‘Yes’. All these are names that were given, not names that were born. God's original name is ‘Prema’ alone. Look in any dictionary: there is just one Prema; there are no two Premas. Love is one, not two. Depending on the body, relationships may be of two or three kinds.
