In plain words
Prema loves all. It hates no one. When there is no hatred and no envy, there are no more quarrels. So ‘carry on your daily journey of life with Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema.’
What is gained by telling a lie for profit is loss!
Whatever the situation, keep on speaking the truth. Do not lie in order to escape. Even if you escape for the moment by a lie, your heart will always be without peace. Once Satya has left your heart, you can do nothing good. If Satya is not in you, how can you practise Dharma? Satya is God; God is Satya. There are not two truths; there is only one Satya. Keep that Satya safe. Whatever you do, speak the truth about it. “I bought this for three rupees. I am giving it to you for five, for some small profit.” Tell the truth like this, and those two rupees will be yours. Do not, out of greed, tell the lie, “It costs ten rupees.” Telling a single lie leads on to many more lies. This is the reason man falls into troubles today! We must not bring on ourselves a sin that need not be, by telling a lie. If you tell a lie for profit, it will bring you great loss.
Embodiments of Prema! Be full of Prema always. Whomever you greet, greet with Prema. If you are full of Prema, everything will come to you. There is Prema in all of you. But instead of using it in the right way, you use it in the opposite way. How far can a man go if he walks on his head, when he should walk on his feet? Feet were given for walking. In the same way, the mouth was given for speaking the truth. If the mouth that should speak the truth tells lies, it is like walking on your head instead of your feet! For what did God give you a head? “What is good? What is bad?
