Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Humility and obedience must dance in Vidyā

Today people take Ahaṅkāra to be the beauty of learning. Once that beauty of physical learning is crushed, the natural divinity is revealed to us. Only then does divinity take up the Ātma principle that is our individuality. We must look on the Ahaṅkāra within us as Manmatha and burn it to ash. The inner meaning of the story of Manmatha's burning shows that ‘this Īśvara is not won by physical beauty alone, nor by authority, nor by strength of arm, of Buddhi or of wealth.’
