In plain words
A simple man, they say, agreed to make an image of Śiva, laboured for many days, and in the end made a monkey! As long as we are human beings we cannot conceive of Him as beyond the human. A time will come when we see the true form of the Being beyond human nature. But if we look a little with ordinary sight and examine on what knowledge our wonderful Buddhi rests, there is nothing there. Only empty foam is seen. If we ever get the chance to hear the lectures of such people refuting the Avatāra, stop the speaker and say, “Sir! Do you understand anything beyond words like all-pervadingness, almightiness and omnipresence?” Ask him that. He cannot convey any idea not limited by ‘human nature’. In this matter he has no more authority, and knows no more, than ordinary simple folk who have no book learning at all. What is more, by such teachings these talkers cause turmoil and pain among people.
