In plain words

Starting with this rule, man must step by step pass beyond the state of the senses, beyond the limit of the Manas, beyond the boundary wall called the body, and know this great truth seen as the world; that is, he must come to the state of knowing ‘whatever fills everything in the form of this world, that am I’, not merely by fancy but in truth, believing and knowing it through inquiry and through experience. That is true Vidyā. What state of things should there be in society? How should relations be between man and man? What should the ties be between nation and nation? How should daily life be conducted? How far should these be kept within bounds? It is Vidyā that teaches all this.
