In plain words

11. Vidyā must bring sāttvic happiness

The chief thing to be won in human life is the grace of God

Of all the things to be achieved in human life, the chief is the grace, or the Prema, of God. Through His ‘Prema’ men gain right Jñāna and find a lasting Śānti. Every man must strive to know the true nature of God. At the very start man cannot know the unmanifest form. At first he must worship a form. He must strive that it arise within him, step by step, as ‘śaktipāta’. An executive officer is not merely an officer. He must have the spirit of service and good conduct, and win the respect of the people. Only then, with purity of citta, can he become a true officer. Sannyāsa does not mean merely taking up the fourth āśrama and doing tapas in the forests with no contact with people. It is necessary for a lord of ascetics to move among the people, understand their joys and sorrows, and give them the spiritual teaching they need. The sannyāsin can in a way be compared with a fish. A fish in a pond keeps moving all the time and never stays in one place. Moving in that way, it cleans the water. In the same way the sannyāsin too must travel to the four corners of the country and, by his teaching and preaching, make the impurity in society awake and pure.
