In plain words
Whatever one does, whatever one sees, whatever one hears, it must be done with the threefold purity. That is, one must speak, listen and rejoice with the threefold purity, with purity of Manas, speech and body. Students must first study with the mind, set it firmly in the Manas, and then speak it in words. The learning offered in words must be followed and shown in deeds. But today we are not receiving learning with the Manas. We are receiving it only through hearing. Hearing may be clear or indistinct, through some disturbance of the Manas. So learning must be received with the Manas and taught with a pure citta. Only then is Jñāna attained.
