Your word is right, brahmin, faultless one, who know everything. The darkness in me is falling apart as you tell the story of Hari. I want to know still more: how the Bhagavan, by a maya that is his own, sends forth this world, which even the ruling lords can hardly think out; how the all-pervading one guards it, and how again he draws it back in; and taking his stand upon one power after another, how the supreme Person, whose powers are many, making himself play and playing himself, makes and unmakes. Surely, brahmin, what the Bhagavan Hari does, whose works are wonderful, seems past the working out even of those who see.

How he, being one, bears the strands of nature in many ways, all at once or one after another, doing his works through his births. This is my doubt; let the revered one tell me how it stands, for you have surely gone to the bottom of the Brahman that is sound, and of the one beyond it.
