Who here is fit to count over Visnu's mighty deeds? Not the seer who has measured even the specks of dust of the earth. It was he who propped up the third height with a force of his own that never slipped, when it shook hard out from the seat where the three stand in balance. I do not know the end of that Person whose strength is maya, nor do these sages born before you — how then any others? The first god Sesa, with his thousand mouths, singing his qualities, has not to this day come to the far side of him. Those to whom that endless Bhagavan shows pity, who have taken to his feet with their whole being and without pretence, cross over the god's maya, which is not to be crossed. Of what the dogs and jackals will eat, they have no thought that it is I or mine.

Dear one, I know the supreme one's yogamaya, and so do you, and the revered Bhava, and the best of the Daityas; Manu's wife and Manu himself and his children; Pracinabarhi, Rbhu, Anga and Dhruva; Iksvaku, Aila, Mucukunda, Videha, Gadhi, Raghu, Ambarisa, Sagara, Gaya, Nahusa and the rest; Mandhatr, Alarka, Satadhanvan, Anu, Rantideva; Devavrata, Bali, Amurtaraya, Dilipa; Saubhari, Utanka, Sibi, Devala, Pippalada, Sarasvata, Uddhava, Parasara, Bhurisena; and those other best ones, Vibhisana, Hanuman, Upendradatta, Partha, Arstisena, Vidura and Srutadeva. They know the god's maya and they cross it. So do women and workers, Hunas and Sabaras, and those who live by wrongdoing, if their habit and their training make him of wonderful stride their resort. Even the beasts do; how much more those who hold what they have heard.
