Seeking what would please his beloved, Kardama took his stand in yoga and at that very moment brought forth a flying palace that went wherever one wished, Ksatta. It yielded every desire, it shone like a thing of heaven, it was set with jewels of every kind, it grew richer with all increase, and it was finished with pillars of gem. It was furnished with heavenly gear, it brought comfort in every season, and it was decked with ribbons and with banners of many colours. It was bright with wreaths and with garlands of many colours, over which the six-footed ones sang sweetly, and with cloths of fine linen, of flax and of silk.

In its chambers, set one above another and each apart, it was lovely with cushions thrown down, with couches, with fans and with seats. Here and there it was made beautiful with all manner of craft-work set into it, and it had a floor of great emerald and benches of coral. At its doorways it shone with a threshold of coral and doors like diamond, and on its towers of sapphire golden pitchers were raised. It was set about with awnings of many colours and with costly arches of gold, made upon its diamond walls with the finest rubies, the kind that seem to have eyes. Flocks of swans and doves called here and there in it, taking the made ones for their own and climbing up to them again and again.

With its pleasure grounds and resting places, its bedchambers, its courts and its yards, all made just as one would like them, it was a wonder even to its maker himself.
