The yoga of devotion and the yoga of discipline have both been set out by me, daughter of Manu, and by either one of them a person comes to the Person. This is the form of the Bhagavan, of Brahman, of the supreme Self: the highest, the ground, the Person, fate, and the working out of works. That which is the ground of the differences of form, and is of heaven, is called time; and from it comes the fear of beings, of the great principle and the rest, who see things divided. He who enters into beings and eats beings by beings, who is the resting place of all, is called Visnu, and he is the lord of sacrifice; he is time, the master of all who count.

To him no one is dear, no one hateful, no one kin. He is never careless, and he enters the careless man and makes an end of him.
