A king who has set his face towards victory and has heard this goes out against his enemies, and the kings bring him tribute before he comes, as they did to Prthu. Free of every other attachment, carrying an unstained devotion to the Bhagavan, a man should hear the holy doings of Vainya, and have them heard, and read them. One who sets his mind on this, which was told to the son of Vicitravirya and points to the greatness of the great, will come, mortal though he is, to the state that is Prthu's. The man who hears these doings of Prthu day after day with respect and spreads them abroad, freed from attachment, comes to a practised love for the Bhagavan, whose foot is the boat across the sea of becoming.
