26Who are you, whose eyes are lotus petals? Whose are you here, and where do you come from, good woman? What do you mean to do beside this city, shy one? Tell me. 27Who are these eleven great fighters walking behind you, and who are these women, fine-browed one? And who is this snake that goes in front of you? 28Are you Modesty, or Bhavani, or Speech, or Fortune, looking for a husband alone in the wood like a sage? And where has the lotus cup fallen from your fingers, whose every wish is met by wanting your feet? 29Fine-thighed one, you are none of these, since you touch the ground. You should adorn this city with the best of heroes, whose works are not small, as Sri adorns the world beyond with the Person of sacrifice.
30The revered one who is born in the mind, sent against me by you with your shy loving smile and your unsteady brow, torments me and has broken my senses. So be kind to me, lovely one. 31Fine-browed one, whose smile is clean, lift your face and show it to me, with its lovely eyes and its sweet speech, hanging down as it is under the mass of your dark curls, since out of shyness you will not turn it my way.
