What the armour does· Verses 34–37

In the corners and in the quarters, above, below, on every side, within and without, let the Bhagavan, the man-lion, drive off the world's fear with his roar, he whose own fire has swallowed every other fire. Maghavan, this is the armour whose substance is Narayana, and it has now been told to you. Buckled into it you will readily beat the leaders of the demon herds. Whoever holds this: anyone he looks at with his eye, or touches with his foot, is at once set free from dread. For one who holds this knowledge there is no fear from anywhere at any time, not from kings or robbers or seizing spirits and the rest, and not from tigers and the rest.
