These are the times that carry good, that make a man's good grow. At these he should do what is good with his whole self, and then his lifetime is not wasted. At these, bathing, murmuring, the offering into fire, a vow, the honouring of gods and of the twice-born; and whatever is given to the fathers, the gods, men and other beings does not wear away. There is also the time of the rites for a wife, for a child and for oneself, king, and the laying out of the dead, and the day of a death, and the acts done when things go well.
