19The second Manu, Svarocisa, was the son of Fire, and his sons were Dyumat, Susena, Rocismat and the rest. 20In his time Rocana was Indra, and the gods were the Tusitas and the others; the seven sages, who spoke of Brahman, were Urja and Stambha and the rest. 21The wife of the sage Vedasiras was named Tusita, and from her was born the god widely known as Vibhu. 22Eighty-eight thousand sages who held to their vows learned his vow from him, keeping from boyhood the chastity of students. 23The third Manu was named Uttama, son of Priyavrata; his sons were Pavana, Srnjaya, Yajnahotra and the rest, king. 24The seven sages were the sons of Vasistha, Pramada and the others; the gods were the Satyas, the Vedasrutas and the Bhadras, and Satyajit was Indra.
