You alone are the Lord of the whole world in its binding and its release. So those who know their business worship you, the teacher, who takes away the pain of those who come for refuge. By your own power, which is made of the strands, you take on the sending out and the standing and the passing away of this, all-pervading one, when, seeing by your own light, vast one, you take the names Brahma, Visnu and Siva. You are Brahman, the highest secret, in whom what is and what is not are thought into being. You shine out through many powers; you are the self, the Lord of the world. You are the womb of sound, the beginning of the world, the self; breath and senses and substance and quality; own nature, time, the rite, truth, the right, and dharma; and in you is that unfailing syllable which they hand down as threefold.

Fire is your mouth, self of all the gods; the earth they know for the lotus of your foot, where the worlds come to be; time is your going, self of all the gods; the quarters are your two ears, and the lord of the waters your tasting. Space is your navel, the wind your breathing, the sun your eyes, the waters your seed; you are what the selves high and low rest on; the moon is your mind, and the sky, revered one, is your head.
