24And you, lord, have now come down into Vasudeva's house with a portion of yourself, to take the burden off the earth, by the killing of a hundred armies of kings who are portions of the enemies of the gods, and to spread the fame of this family. 25Today, Lord, our dwellings are greatly favoured, since you, whose shape the gods and the fathers and the beings and men and rulers all are, whose foot-washing water makes the three worlds clean, you, teacher of the world, beyond the reach of the senses, have come into them. 26What learned man would go for shelter to anyone but you, a friend who is grateful and whose word is kept, who holds dear those devoted to him? To a friend who serves you, you give everything he wants, and yourself as well, and you neither grow by it nor shrink.
27By good fortune, Janardana, you have shown yourself here to us, whose course is hard to reach even for lords of yoga and lords of the gods. Cut through quickly for us this rope of bewilderment about sons and wife and wealth and friends and house and body: cut through this maya of yours.
