Tell me how Bhauma was killed by the Bhagavan, and why those women were shut up by him: this show of strength of him of the Sarnga bow. Indra, whose parasol had been taken, and whose kinswoman's earrings had been taken, and whose place on the mountain of the immortals had been taken, told him what Bhauma had been doing; and he went with his wife, mounted on Garuda, to the city of Pragjyotisa. It was hard to get at for its walls of hills and its walls of weapons, and by water and fire and wind, and it was ringed on every side with ten thousand terrible strong nooses of Mura. With his mace he broke open the hills, and the walls of weapons with his arrows; the fire, the water and the wind with his disc, and the nooses of Mura with his sword.

With the sound of his conch he broke the engines, and the hearts of the brave, and the bearer of the mace broke the rampart with his heavy mace.
