Walking alone· Verses 20–23

He should walk this earth alone, unattached, his senses held in, taking his play in the self, his delight in the self, having himself in hand, seeing evenly. With a solitary place for his safe shelter, his heart made clean by holding to me, the sage should think of the self as one, and as not different from me. He should look closely into his own bondage and his release, standing firm in knowledge. Bondage is the scattering of the senses; release is the holding of them in. So the sage should hold in the group of six and go about holding to me, turned away from small wants, having found the great happiness that is in the self.
