14The Person, Nature, the manifest, I-making, space, wind, fire, water, earth — these are the nine principles I have told. 15Hearing, skin, sight, smell, tongue: these are the powers of knowing. Speech, hand, sex, anus and foot are for action; and the mind, dear one, is both. 16Sound, touch, taste, smell and form are the kinds of thing they take. Going, speaking, letting go and making are what the seats of action accomplish. 17At the beginning of the making, Nature, which has the shape of both effect and cause, holds all this by the strands that begin with clarity, while the Person, unmanifest, looks on. 18The manifest and the rest, the constituents, changing under the Person's look and having got their force, come together by the strength of Nature and bring forth the egg.
19The constituents are just seven: there the five objects beginning with space, then knowledge, then the self who bears them both; and from that the body, the senses and the breaths.
