Seeing great portents risen in the sky, on the earth and in the air between, Krsna said this to the Yadus, who were seated in the Sudharma hall. These terrible great portents in Dvaravati are the banners of Yama. We must not stay here even an hour, bulls of the Yadus. Let the women, the children and the old go from here to Sankhoddhara. We shall go to Prabhasa, where the Sarasvati runs toward the west. There, having bathed and being clean, having fasted and being well gathered, we shall worship the gods with bathing and anointing and honouring. And the brahmins, who are greatly favoured, we shall honour, when the rite of blessing has been done, with cows, land, gold and clothes, with elephants, horses, chariots and houses.

This is the rite that kills what is inauspicious, and the highest way to what is auspicious. The worship of gods, of the twice-born and of cows is the highest state among beings. Hearing all this from the enemy of Madhu, the elders of the Yadus said, So be it; and crossing over by boat they went on to Prabhasa in their chariots. There the Yadavas did what the Bhagavan, the god of the Yadus, had told them, with the highest devotion, and it was heaped up with every good thing.
