In plain words
The cowherd girls, to Kṛṣṇa and then to Nappiṉṉai: O mighty one, who go ahead of trouble to the thirty-three [crores of] gods and take away their trembling, wake from sleep! O you who are true in guarding those who seek you, O you who are strong against their foes, O pure one who bring fever to those who hate you, wake from sleep! O lady Nappiṉṉai, equal of Śrī [Mahālakṣmī], with soft breasts like golden vessels, red lips and a slender waist, wake from sleep! Give us the fan and the mirror [for the vow], and your husband too, and bathe us in his presence this very hour. Take it up and heed it, girl of ours.
