Verse 11

अथ ह श्रोत्रमुद्गीथमुपासाञ्चक्रिरे त-द्धासुराः पाप्मना विविधुस्तस्मात्तेनोभय५ शृणोति श्रवणीय चाश्रवणीय चपाप्मना ह्येतद्विद्धम् ॥ ५ ॥

In plain words

Then they chose the ear for their udgitha meditation. The demons pierced it with evil. And so through the ear one hears both what is worth hearing and what is not worth hearing, for it is touched by defect.

Now, indeed, they meditated upon the ear as the udgitha. That, indeed, the demons pierced with evil. Therefore one hears by it both what is worth hearing and what is not worth hearing; for this is pierced by evil.
