Verse 205

स ह व्याधिनानशितुं दध्रे तमाचार्य-जायोवाच ब्रह्मचारिन्नशान किं नु नाश्ना-सीति स होवाच बहव इमेऽस्मिन्पुरुषेकामा नानात्यया व्याधिभिः प्रतिपूर्णो-ऽस्मि नाशिष्यामीति ॥ ३ ॥

In plain words

Afflicted by sorrow, he resolved to fast. The teacher's wife asked him, 'Student, eat! Why do you refuse your food?' He replied, 'My heart is crowded with manifold desires and griefs; I am overwhelmed with distress and will not eat.'

He indeed resolved to fast because of the disease. The teacher's wife said to him: 'Student, eat. Why do you not eat?' He indeed spoke: 'Many are these desires in this person, having various courses; I am completely filled with diseases, I will not eat.'
