अथ होवाचेन्द्रद्युम्नं भाल्लवेयं वैयाघ्र-पद्य कं त्वमात्मानमुपास्स इति वायुमेवभगवो राजन्निति होवाचैष वै पृथग्व-र्त्मात्मा वैश्वानरो यं त्वमात्मानमुपास्सेतस्मात्त्वां पृथग्बलय आयन्ति पृथग्रथश्रे-णयोऽनुयन्ति ॥ १ ॥

Then the king said to Indradyumna Bhallaveya, Vaiyāghrapadya: 'Which self do you meditate upon?' 'The wind alone, O revered king,' he replied. 'This indeed is the universal Self of diverse paths, Vaiśvānara, whom you worship as your very self. Therefore, distinct tributes flow to you, and separate lines of chariots follow in your train.' 1
