In plain words
Thinking, "I never spoke thus to you before, my dear son, when you graduated," Gautama went to King Jaivali's court. The king honored him greatly. The next morning, as the king sat in assembly, Gautama approached him. The king said, "Venerable Gautama, ask for any human wealth you wish, such as cattle and villages." Gautama replied, "Keep your human wealth, O king. Teach me only that discourse on the five questions which you gave to my young son." Hearing this from Gautama, the king was greatly troubled, wondering how to handle the situation.

Having received hospitality, staying overnight, the next morning when the king went to the court, Gautama approached him. The king said to Gautama, "O venerable Gautama, choose a desirable human boon of wealth such as villages." Gautama said, "Keep your human wealth for yourself, O king. That very teaching consisting of five questions which you spoke in the presence of my young son, speak that very teaching to me." Being thus addressed by Gautama, the king became distressed, thinking, "How can this be?"
