यदि एतत्प्रत्यक्षीकर्तुमिच्छसि अतोऽस्मान्महतः न्यग्रो-धात् फलमेकमाहर- इत्युक्तः तथा चकार सः ; इदं भगवउपहृतं फलमिति दर्शितवन्तं प्रति आह- फलं भिन्द्धीति ।भिन्नमित्याह इतरः ।तमाह पिता- किमत्र पश्यसीति ;उक्तः आह— अण्व्यः अणुतरा इव इमाः धानाः बीजानिपश्यामि भगव इति ।आसां धानानामेकां धानाम् अङ्ग हेवत्स भिन्द्धि, इत्युक्तः आह— भिन्ना भगव इति ।यदिभिन्ना धाना तस्यां भिन्नायां किं पश्यसि, इत्युक्तः आह—न किंचन पश्यामि भगव इति ॥

If you wish to experience this directly, bring a fruit from this great banyan tree. Shvetaketu brought one and said, 'Here it is, Revered Sir.' The father told him to split it. 'It is split,' the son replied. 'What do you see inside?' asked the father. 'Tiny seeds, exceedingly small, Revered Sir.' 'Split one of those seeds, my child.' 'It is split.' 'What do you see in that?' 'Nothing at all, Revered Sir.'

To him he said, 'Split the fruit.' 'It is split,' said the other. The father said to him, 'What do you see in this?' Addressed, he said, 'I see minute seeds, very fine like these, O revered one.' 'Split one of these seeds, O dear child,' he was told. He said, 'It is split, O revered one.' 'If the seed is split, what do you see in that when it is split?' Addressed, he said, 'I see nothing at all, O revered one.'
