Bhāṣya

In plain words
Just as the single sun illuminates many eyes all at once, rather than turning to each eye one by one, so too the one pure awareness presides simultaneously over all the varied movements of the mind, rather than revealing them in a sequence. 'That luminous ātman, the Self, is who I am'—this is the final truth.
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as the sun, being one, illuminates many eyes simultaneously in this manner of an illuminator, and does not illuminate the object of sight to each individual eye in sequence, thus in that very manner, the single awareness—that sole presiding witness—simultaneously presides over many intellects and minds, and does not make what is to be illuminated manifest to each intellect sequentially: 'That which is such, I am the Ātman'—such is the connection.
