In plain words
Alas — others turn their Manas toward lesser beings and give their Bhakti to base deities. But you, Devī, are the one my Manas holds without pause; you alone I praise; you alone, Mother, are my Śaraṇa.
Close to the Sanskrit
Alas! Others, having placed their Manas even on other beings, indeed bear Bhakti toward base deities. O Devī, you alone do I continuously remember with Manas; you alone do I praise; O Mother, you alone are Śaraṇa.
