In plain words
O Mother Kṛṣṇā, you handed me over to Māyā just to keep me fed, and for so long now you have turned away with total indifference. O home of compassion, you will not spare even a single glance for my face. O omniscient one, can it really be that you are powerless to bring an end to the very root of my sorrow?
Close to the Sanskrit
Having delivered me—whose root is delusion—into the hand of Māyā for the sake of maintenance, O Mother, named Kṛṣṇa, for a long time you have gone to an attitude of indifference. O sole abode of compassion, you do not look upon my face even once. O omniscient one, are you truly unable to bring about the cessation of the root?
