पितामहोऽस्मि स्थविरः वृद्ध इन्द्रादेः पितामहः अनादिसिद्धः परमात्मा सोऽप्यहमेव ।यः पिता इन्द्रादेः हिरण्यगर्भः, सोऽप्यहमेव ।तथा ममैव यूयमात्मस्थाः ।एवं यूयं सर्वे परमार्थतो न मे आत्मनि व्यवस्थिताः; न चाप्यहं युष्मासु व्यवस्थितः ।तथा चाह भगवान्—‘मत्स्थानि सर्वभूतानि’ इति ॥
In plain words
I am the ancient grandfather, the progenitor even of Indra and the cosmic powers, the beginningless Supreme Self—that very one am I. The father of Indra, Hiranyagarbha, is also myself. Yet in truth, you reside within my own Self; from the absolute perspective, you are not bound within me as separate things, nor am I physically contained within you. As the Lord declares: 'All beings rest in me.'

I am the grandfather, ancient, the grandfather of Indra and others, beginningless, the Supreme Self—he also is I alone. Who is the father of Indra and others, Hiranyagarbha, he also is I alone. And thus you are situated in my Self. Thus you all, from the absolute standpoint, are not established in my Self; nor am I established in you. And thus the Lord said: 'All beings are stationed in me.'
