। ॥ ६९ ॥
In plain words
Ātma rests in the embrace of Ātma, and in that instant nothing remains known, inwardly or outwardly. It is like a lover home from a distant country, holding the beloved so close that everything else disappears. The traffic of the world goes down there, along with merit and fault, grief, delusion and fear. Whether even or harsh, none of it is remembered.
Close to the Sanskrit
Ātma embraces Ātma and at once knows nothing within or without, like a lover who returns home from a distant land and holds the beloved close. There the whole commerce of the world sets, together with the chain of merit and fault, grief, delusion and fear. Pleasant or painful, nothing is remembered at all.
