In plain words
The inner and outer worlds fall quiet, the senses withdraw in Uparati, and happiness is found. These three look alike in Jīvanmukti, freedom while living, and Suṣupti, deep sleep. Yet the sleeper wakes and returns under the pull of old Saṃskāras, latent tendencies; the Mukta, free because those seeds are gone, never returns.
Close to the Sanskrit
The dissolution of the small and great Prapañca, Uparati or withdrawal of the senses, and the attainment of happiness: this triad is alike in Jīvanmukti and Suṣupti, deep sleep, but there is a difference. Because of earlier Saṃskāras, the sleeper wakes and returns again. The Mukta, whose store of Saṃskāras has perished, does not return.
