। ॥ ७८ ॥
In plain words
Dream, the second state, is known directly at the meeting of waking and deep sleep. The senses are gathered in and the gross body laid upon its bed, while Antarātma, the inner Self and its own light, sees desired objects formed from Saṃskāras—the stored impressions—and travels wherever it wishes.
Close to the Sanskrit
At the junction of waking and deep sleep lies the second state, dream, known by experience. There the person is Ātma-jyotis, lit by Ātma. Drawing in every sense and laying the gross body on a suitable bed, Antarātma—the inner Self—shines by its own light, sees desired objects shaped from Saṃskāras, and goes wherever it will.
