In plain words

A few Prāṇas, the vital breaths, remain to guard the nest of the body on its bed, lest it become a corpse and food for dogs. Meanwhile the dreamer's own power creates horses and chariots, rivers and ponds, places of play, and likenesses of companions, wives, children and friends.

Close to the Sanskrit

With the remaining Prāṇas—the vital breaths—the dreamer guards the nest-like body lying on its bed, lest it become corpse-like and be eaten by dogs and other animals. In dream, through its own power, it creates horses and chariots, rivers, ponds, many playgrounds, and likenesses of companions, wives, sons and friends.
