। ॥ ३८ ॥
In plain words
Śiva, serene: earlier merit opens the mountain path, and along it his nectar-form shows itself. He is soma — the moon, Umā beside him — attended by the good, the deer in his hand, full and whole, the one who lets the darkness go. Let him once be caught in the lotus-pool of your mind, and the ocean of ānanda swells up in full flood; then the good-minded come into their blossoming, as flowers do.
Close to the Sanskrit
If Śiva — whose nectar-form is revealed by the mountain path shown by earlier merit, serene, soma (the moon, with Umā), served by the host of the good, bearing the deer, full, releaser of darkness — comes to be seen in the lotus-pool of the mind, then the ocean of bliss swells with exuberance, and the flourishing of the good-minded arises.
