In plain words

There are a thousand gods at work in this world, and every one of them deals in small change. Chasing after them, and whatever they might hand me for it — the thought does not cross my mind, not even in sleep. What I ask for, Śambhu, Śiva, and have been asking a long time, is the worship of your lotus feet: something Hari and Brahmā themselves, standing right at your side, do not come by easily.

Close to the Sanskrit

By the thousand there exist in the world deities who are givers of paltry fruits. I do not consider, even in a dream, the following of them or the fruit produced by them. O Śambhu, O Śiva, long do I beg for the worship of your lotus feet — which is not easily obtained even by Hari, Brahmā and the rest, who partake of your nearness.
