In plain words

Devotion is the bowstring, drawn up tight. The heart is the bow, bent to its full curve. Every remembrance of Śiva is an arrow, and not one of them misses. So the clear-minded one shoots down his enemies — his own sins — and, victorious, receives with joy a kingdom's wealth that will never slip from his hands.
