। ॥ ८० ॥

In plain words

"He is coming into birth, and his mind is hard — let me learn to dance on that." With that thought, to protect me, you rehearsed it long ago: those tender feet set down on the bare stone of the mountains. Otherwise tell me, Śambhu — with inner rooms of heavenly houses, couches heaped with flowers, altars, all of it there in plenty — why do you dance on slabs of rock?

Close to the Sanskrit

"This one will come to birth; his mind is hard; let me dance upon that" — thus, for my protection, the setting down of your tender feet upon the mountain's stony tract was rehearsed long ago. If not so: when the inner chambers of heavenly houses, couches of flowers, altars and the like exist in abundance, for what purpose, O Śambhu, is your dancing on slabs of rock?
