O Lord of Umā, whoever spends time joyfully worshipping your feet, meditating in silence, bowing in reverence, listening to your lore, gazing upon you with praise—with heart entirely given to you—is indeed liberated even while alive.
Close to the Sanskrit
O Umā's great lord, for some time through worship of your lotus feet, for some time through meditation and samādhis, for some time through prostrations, for some time through listening to stories, for some time through gazes and praises—whoever joyfully attains such a state with mind offered to you, while living is truly liberated.
