In plain words

Listen to what I am asking. It took enormous effort to get this close to you — don't push me away now, Mother; I came running here with nowhere else to run. And if my mind ever wanders off from your feet, and my eyes and my speech with it — then, gentle one, tie them up with your own cords, tight enough that they never slip out again.

Heed my petitions. Me, who by very great effort have reached your presence, a panic-stricken fugitive here now — Mother, do not put me far away. If my mind should ever stray from the contemplation of your feet, and my eye and my speech as well — then, O gentle one, bind them with your own cords, so that they do not go out again.
