। ॥ १२६ ॥
In plain words
Where do I stand, slow-witted as I am, and where does this stand — the worship of your sacred sandals, Devī, praised and held in mind by every single-hearted devotee? And yet: pleased with my contemplation, occasional as it is, that Goddess brought this hymn, which gives shelter and ease, out into my mouth. That is what I think happened here.
Close to the Sanskrit
Where am I, dull of intelligence, and where is this — the worship of your revered sandals, O Devī, praised and meditated upon in their own minds by all single-hearted devotees? Even so, by that deity, well pleased at my occasional practice of contemplation, this bliss-bestowing hymn has been made manifest in my mouth: so I think.
