। ॥ ८५ ॥
In plain words
Brahmā, they say, is lord of earth; Viṣṇu, master of the waters; Umā's husband, lord of fire; Īśvara, ruler of the winds; and Sadāśiva, sovereign of open space. These are the ones who have come to bear the name preta, standing outside the cakra — and to them, with all reverence, we bow.
