In plain words

Smṛti says it too: 'Ātman alone is every Devatā'; 'the embodied one in the city with nine gates'; 'Know me also as Kṣetrajña, the knower of the field'; 'the same in all beings'; 'the witness and permitter'; 'the highest Puruṣa is other'; and 'bodiless among bodies.' These passages establish that you are free from Jāti, lineage, and Saṃskāras.

The Smṛtis too say: 'Ātman alone is all the Devatās'; 'the embodied one in the nine-gated city'; 'Know me also as Kṣetrajña, the knower of the field'; 'equal in all beings'; 'the witness and permitter'; 'the highest Puruṣa, however, is other'; 'bodiless among bodies'—and others. Therefore it is established that you are free from Jāti, lineage, and Saṃskāras.
