In plain words

Passages like these are cited to show that praise and prostration and the rest are to be offered by someone who has left violence and its whole family behind — or else to show that the word "Viśva" is naming Brahman itself. "The one who does my work, who holds me as the highest, who is devoted to me, free of attachment, carrying no enmity toward any living being — he comes to me, Arjuna." So it is said.

And by such statements, in order to show that praise, salutation and the rest are to be performed by one who is free of injury and the like — or else, that by the word "Viśva" Brahman is denoted. "He who does my work, for whom I am supreme, who is devoted to me, free of attachment, without enmity toward all beings — he comes to me, O Pāṇḍava." Thus.
