In plain words
Āditya. The light that sits inside the light, within the sun's own disc — that light is Āditya. He bears the pairs of opposites, cold and heat and all the rest: he endures them, and so he is Sahiṣṇu, the One Who Endures. He is the goal, and he is the highest — goal and highest at once, and so he is Gatisattama.
Close to the Sanskrit
Ādityaḥ. The light abiding in the light, in the orb of the sun, is Āditya. He endures the pairs of opposites — cold, heat, and the rest — thus Sahiṣṇu. He is the goal and he is the best — thus Gatisattama.
