In plain words
I see nothing that produces more happiness for someone who has mastered himself than dispassion — and when it comes paired with a clear knowledge of the Self, it hands him nothing less than the freedom of the Self and sovereignty over all. This is the door, always standing open, to the bride called Liberation. So from now on: want nothing anywhere, and keep your understanding resting on the Self, always, for the sake of your own highest good.
Close to the Sanskrit
I see no greater source of happiness than dispassion for one whose mind is mastered. Joined with purer Self-knowledge, it yields self-sovereignty and universal sovereignty. Since this is the ever-open gateway to the bride Liberation, from now onward, without craving anywhere, always fix your understanding on the true Self for your highest good.
