In plain words

You are, in truth, the Supreme Self — yet ignorance has bound you to what you are not, and from that single knot comes this whole cycle of birth and becoming. But once discrimination lights the fire of real knowledge between the two, Self and not-Self, it burns away everything ignorance ever produced, down to the very root.

Close to the Sanskrit

Indeed, your bondage to the non-Self, though you are in truth the Supreme Self, [arises] due to connection with ignorance; from that alone [comes] the cycle of worldly existence. The fire of knowledge, arisen from discrimination between these two, would burn up, root and all, the effect of ignorance.
