In plain words
One lump of clay, many forms of pots; one gold, many ornaments; one cow's milk, many breeds of cows; one Supreme Self, dwelling in many bodies.
Embodiments of Prema!
Though the clay is one, the pots are many. Though gold is one, the ornaments are of many kinds. Though milk is one, the cows are many. Though God is one, He is seen in many forms. “Ekaṃ sat viprā bahudhā vadanti.” Though That which is, is one, man sees It in many forms. “Sahasraśīrṣā puruṣaḥ sahasrākṣa sahasra pāt”: all heads, all eyes, all feet are His. “Ekovasi sarva bhūtāntarātma.” The divinity that dwells in all is one. So the universe is the form of the Virāṭ. The universe is filled with Viṣṇu. So every human being is an embodiment of the Divine.
Born in the water, floating on the water, merging back into the water: the water bubble. Man is the bubble, Nārāyaṇa the water.
Divinity is present, unmanifest, in every human being. In the vast ocean countless waves rise up. They take many kinds of forms.
